Hawaiian Studio Art with Nanea Lum | KĪPUKA

  • KĪPUKA 1200 Ala Moana Boulevard Honolulu, HI, 96814 United States (map)

Nanea Lum, a Native Hawaiian artist and MFA graduate of UH Mānoa based in Honolulu, specializes in painting and contemporary art making, applying methods of place-based learning and Indigenous knowledge. Her practice interrelates kapa making with large-scale paintings, printmaking, drawing, and time-based media. Nanea’s interdisciplinary practice works with community organizations to produce projects and networks that connect Native Hawaiian culture to ‘āina.
