Uluniu Volunteer Workday at Kūkaniloko, Wahiawa

Join us for an Uluniu Volunteer Workday at Kūkaniloko in Wahiawa. Part of the Niu Now! program, we’ll celebrate the Makahiki Season of peace, gratitude and excellence by caring for a coconut grove, or uluniu, established for a healthy society and the well-being of a people. Led by Indrajit Gunasekara, Dr. Manulani Aluli Meyer, Kehau (Jahna) Kahele-Madli, Adam Kekaula Hanohano, and Jesse Mikasobe-Kealiinohomoku. Pot-luck lunch. Please don’t forget to bring water, shoes, and sunscreen.

Located on Kamehameha Highway, close to the intersection of Whitmore Avenue and Highway 80. Please RSVP for exact directions. Free parking on grounds. Gates close by 8am, so arrive beforehand.
